Mud Submerged Primary School, Student Exams on the School Yard
Suara press. Mamuju - Dozens of students at SDN Padang Makula, West Sulawesi (Sulbar), take the semester exam on the school grounds. Because, their schools are flooded and muddy.
The elementary school is located in Kaleok Village, Binuang District, Polman Regency, West Sulawesi. Without using tarpaulins as a protection from the heat of the sun, the students at this school remained enthusiastic and tried to focus on taking the semester school exam process, which was held for six days.
These students were forced to take the exam in the yard because the classrooms they used to study were submerged in mud. This 30-centimeter-high silt was carried away by a flash flood that hit this area on Saturday (1/12).
The school hopes that the government will immediately pay attention because it makes it difficult for students to take part in the teaching-learning process, including taking school examinations.
"Because there were landslides and schools hit, all the rooms were muddy. All the benches were issued, we went out, even carried out the tests in the field. We hope the government will immediately provide assistance so that the teaching-learning process can be carried out normally," said the Head of Padang Makula Elementary School Saifuddin, told reporters on Tuesday (12/04/2018).
